The usual discussion about HTML email sparkled in the usual ML. A sentence about "different talent" for diagrams, pdf and colors captured my attention.

Actually some of us jerky Open Source geeks do actually appreciate diagrams, colors, images and layout that goes beyond skipping a line to divide paragraphs and using monospaced fonts.
We don't enjoy them for or just for esthetic reasons, we enjoy them because they improve communication. Have you ever notice how much fancier is the layout of a Chemistry book compared to "War and Peace"?
